Pick and choose 1 or all options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This includes horses, camels, donkeys that go down and golf carts that go both ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the animal rides are negotiable, golf carts are set price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let me tell you why&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>if you want content and you are on a time crunch there is no way you will be able to explore Petra ancient city in several hours and take it in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I did the horse ride and let me show you why this 15 minute $25 horse ride was worth it for me:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Wait for it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"http:\/\/desertroze.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/IMG_0647.mov\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you finally walk down a nice windy road you will finally get to the treasury and the first thing you will notice is all&#8230;the&#8230;people&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tip 4<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be approached by several people offering services but the one you want is the picture looking down at the treasury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that this requires some climbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should not pay more then $12 per person to go up and get that picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wait there&#8217;s more then the Treasury <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes folks there is more then the treasury, I know I was shocked too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can choose to explore more and walk further into the city and climb more stairs to see other sites like the Royal Tomb, Theater, and even the Monastery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was unprepared to hike, and looked cute so&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pictures, Pictures, Pictures, that&#8217;s why so many of us travel to such beautiful places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trying to capture the moment .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tip 5<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In the main area if you look around you will see a lot of young kids taking pictures of other tourists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well they are for hire and all you have to do is ask them if they know spots for great videos and pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like that you have a professional photographer\/videographer that will take amazing content for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The kid I found was so great that he showed my group 3 different spots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He didn&#8217;t want to take the money initially but I insisted, he was no more then 14 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shop, Rest, Plan <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you are satisfied you can walk a bit on the leveled path and find some shops to grab out and eyeliner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My friend and I ended up find a place to sit and ordered the lemon + mint drink and it was probably the worst one I had that whole trip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Definitely get something you&#8217;d like because im sure you have been in the sun for a bit by now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plan accordingly when you will start your accent back to the hotel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you shopped and walked to the end of the pathway where you can see how far the monastery is, you have about an hours walk back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or you can take the gold cart back but I believe it was between $20-$30 with a wait time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I would highly recommend that you take these tips into consideration and still plan on what you would like to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I personally would have liked 2 days to explore the city but had about 6 hours and I was pretty proud of what I was able to achieve in that short time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hope this was helpful and check out my <a href=\"https:\/\/desertroze.me\/index.php\/2023\/06\/12\/magnificiant-memories-made-in-a-martian-land-wadi-rum\/\" title=\"\">Wadi Rum Post<\/a> for more information on where I stayed in those Domes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>5 Tips to Make your Petra Content Experience Easy I will be walking you through my time in Petra and what I did to score some incredible content.
